Bio

Chelsea holds a master’s degree in clinical social work from The University of South Carolina. She is passionate about supporting her clients in Buckhead, downtown Atlanta, and the greater Atlanta area, and has a heart for navigating people through life's obstacles by exploring their own unique strengths, resiliency, and encouraging self-awareness that leads to personal empowerment. Chelsea believes that each person contains the unique set of strengths to be their own agent of change.

As a therapist, Chelsea operates from a client-centered, strength-based perspective. She has experience working with a wide range of issues including complex trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relational conflict, anger management, attachment disorders, parent-child conflict, grief and loss, and other emotional concerns. While her focused work has been on adolescents and children, her experience includes working with clients in many different stages of life from childhood to adulthood.

Chelsea specializes in treating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and distress associated with life transitions in adolescents, emerging adults, and young mothers. Chelsea has worked with clients in individual, family and group settings. She received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy while working at a community mental health agency and has experience working with high-acuity mental health disorders in a psychiatric hospital setting. Chelsea operates under the clinical supervision of Annie Kelahan, LPC.
